Monday, June 26th, 2006I’m currently working on skinning WordPress to look similar to my current layout that you see before you. I’ve been wanting to do this for some time, but have never got around to getting it done.
WordPress, for those of you who don’t know, is the thing that powers the behind the scenes for my blog, and allows you to post comments and all that magical stuff. Up till now, you went to the pages entirely generated by WordPress to leave and view comments, which was a bit of a pain, and didn’t look terribly great either. With the work I’m doing now, you’ll have the same theme across the whole site, no matter where you are.
You can check out the new theme that I’m working on at http://jameskirsop.mine.nu/wp/. Feel free to leave your thoughts about this new theme as comments to this blog post. I’m trying to keep a similar layout, but also bring it up to CSS2 spec by using div tags (instead of tables), use more of the WordPress features in the theme and generally clean up the layout a little.
